The handle can be mover up and down on this arm.

The handle can be mover up and down on this arm. (Ferrule is cracked.)

Tightening screw to hold the handle in fix position.

Saw blades held in position with simple mechanism, still used today.
The tension was achieved by moving blade on this tension bracket.
(Opposite of handle.)

The blade position at the handle end.

Stretched saw blade. Teeth face the handle side and work on pull motion.
