Image below
shows model c. 1903 with a "new" frame.
In 1938
another major step was taken and company released two
pinion drill.
Over the years
Millers Falls Company released numerous No. 2 drill
variations, based on these six core designs.
Many small changes were introduced, including new chuck
designs, different type of side, main and crank handles,
and other small changes.
Some samples of these
core designs and their variations are a subject of this
presentation. Whenever possible I use verbatim
description from available catalogs.
The dates of different
releases of No. 2 drill were derived from available
catalogs, comprehensive study conducted by
Randy Roeder and presented at
Millers Falls Home Page, and my own analysis of each drill shown here
and comparison with dozens of other samples restored in
my shop.
