The story of the Goodell-Pratt Co.
began long before its
existence. In 1866 two brothers,
Henry E. and Albert D. Goodell,
started manufacturing a bit brace
in a small shop
in
Buckland, MA.
In 1895 William M. Pratt
joined Goodell Brothers and the business was
incorporated as the Goodell Brothers Co.
In 1897 the company changed its name to the
Goodell-Pratt Co.
